Mines is a Minesweeper-style instant game on a 5x5 grid of 25 tiles. Before each round the player chooses how many mines (1-24) are hidden; every safe tile revealed raises the multiplier, and the player can cash out at any point. Hitting a mine ends the round and forfeits the stake. The game's appeal is that risk is entirely player-controlled, from near-coin-flip rounds to astronomically long shots.

Player-controlled: 1 mine on a 25-tile grid is very low variance (first pick pays about 1.03x); 24 mines is a 1-in-25 shot paying 24.75x. Variance also rises with each additional tile revealed in a round. Turning the risk up does not make a game more or less generous over time. It widens the distribution: frequent small wins become rare large ones while the average stays where the operator set it.
Every combination of mine count and number of picks has the same 1% house edge, so there is no configuration or 'stop point' that yields positive expectation. Cashing out early only reduces variance, it does not improve the return. The main practical lever is bet sizing: with more mines and deeper picks, losing streaks get long, so a bankroll sized for many consecutive losses is the only way to keep sessions from ending abruptly.
This game publishes a server seed hash before each round and reveals the seed afterwards, so you can recompute the result yourself and confirm it was not changed after your bet. It proves the round was not rigged. It does not change the house edge.
Each multiplier equals 0.99 divided by the probability of surviving that many picks at the chosen mine count; that is what makes the RTP 99% at every step.
