Nevada has not legalised real-money online casino. That means no operator holds a Nevada licence for casino games, and any site offering them to residents is doing so outside the state's licensing framework. The practical difference for a player is recourse: there is no state regulator to complain to when something goes wrong.

SB 256 (2025), effective Oct 1, 2025, amended Nevada law to target unlicensed online sweepstakes/dual-currency casinos, requiring disgorgement of profits and increasing penalties. Sweepsy classifies it as restricted/enforcement; most other trackers count Nevada among states with an explicit ban. Major sweeps operators have exited Nevada. Sweepstakes sites use virtual currencies that can be redeemed for prizes, a structure that let them operate in states without licensed online casino.
