A low multiple applied to the bonus alone, a cap high enough to matter at a realistic deposit, eligible games with a low house edge, and full contribution on the games you would have played anyway. Those four together are rare. When they appear, the offer is worth taking on arithmetic rather than on enthusiasm.
Bitsler advertises 200% and attaches a 100x requirement. Clearing it is expected to cost -$600 per $100 deposited. Nothing about that is hidden: the multiple is published. It is simply printed somewhere nobody reads, next to a percentage designed to be read.
Method
This is an expectation across many attempts, not a prediction of one. Any single attempt at clearing a bonus ends far above or far below the figure in the table, and most end below it. A positive expected value is a reason to prefer one offer over another, never a reason to gamble.
Because the percentage sets how much bonus you receive and the wagering requirement sets how much you must bet to keep it. A 590% match paired with a 40x requirement generates far more turnover than a 200% match at 6x, and every unit of turnover is charged the house edge. The larger offer costs more to clear than it gives.
It is the expected value of taking the offer with a $100 deposit: the bonus credited, minus the expected cost of the betting required to release it. Comparing offers on that basis removes the effect of different caps and different deposit sizes, which is what makes the column comparable at all.
Because we could not read a number the calculation needs, usually the wagering multiple. Those offers are listed separately with the reason. Estimating them would produce a confident ranking built on invented inputs, which is precisely the problem this index exists to fix.
It means the offer is expected to be worth more than it costs over many repetitions. It says nothing about a single attempt, and it does not make the underlying games favourable: every eligible game still carries a house edge, and the expected outcome of gambling remains a loss.
