Dice is the cheapest game to price and the easiest to verify, so the only real question is which sites publish their numbers.

Dice turns a win chance into a multiplier, and the house edge is the gap between the fair multiplier and the one you are paid. That makes it the simplest game on any casino to compare honestly. The sites below are ranked on published RTP, provably fair implementation, bet controls and how quickly they pay.

Dice is the simplest game in a crypto casino, and its pricing is easy to check. You pick a target number, you pick whether the roll must land over or under it, and the site converts your win chance into a multiplier.
A fair multiplier would be 100 divided by your win chance. A site running a 1% house edge pays 99 divided by your win chance instead. Stake's Originals, dice among them, are documented at 99% RTP, so the arithmetic is easy to follow. Choose a 50% win chance and you are paid 1.98x rather than 2x. Choose a 2% win chance and you are paid 49.5x rather than 50x. Choose 95% and you are paid about 1.04x rather than 1.0526x.
The edge does not move when you move the slider. It is a flat proportion of every stake, so a hundred rolls of one unit cost about one unit in expectation whatever target you set. That is the price of the entertainment, and it is the number worth comparing between sites. A dice game at 99% RTP costs half as much per bet as one at 98%, and some operators do not publish the figure at all.
Two things follow. If a site will not tell you its dice RTP, you cannot price what you are buying, and that is reason enough to look elsewhere. And any claim that one particular target is the profitable one is wrong by construction, because every position on the slider carries the same expected cost per unit staked.
What changes when you move the target is variance, meaning how far your balance is likely to wander from the average on the way to that average.
At a 95% win chance you win nineteen rolls in twenty, and each win adds about four per cent to your stake. Sessions feel calm, losing streaks are short, and a single loss undoes roughly twenty wins. At a 2% win chance you lose most rolls and occasionally collect 49.5 times your stake. Sessions are long flat lines punctuated by a jump.
The expected cost is identical. A thousand rolls of one unit carries an expected loss near ten units either way. Only the spread around that number differs, and it differs a lot. A high win chance gives you a narrow distribution and a slow bleed. A low win chance gives you a wide one, which is why a short session at long odds can finish well ahead and a long one rarely does. Our RTP simulator lets you watch that spread rather than take it on trust.
This is also why auto-bet deserves care. Doubling after a loss, the martingale pattern, converts many small wins into one rare large loss. It cannot change the expected value of a single roll, because the size of your last bet has no effect on the next roll's probability. What it changes is the shape of the failure. The losing streak that clears your balance is uncommon, and when it arrives it takes everything you have staked. Maximum bet limits usually cap the doubling before your bankroll does.
Set a loss limit before you open the game, use the stop-on-loss control, and treat the session budget as the price of the evening.
Past the RTP figure, the differences are mechanical.
Provably fair implementation comes first. The usual pattern: the site commits to a server seed by publishing its hash before you play, you supply or edit a client seed, and a nonce increments with every roll. The result is derived from those three inputs. Rotating your seed reveals the old server seed, after which you can recompute every roll it produced and confirm the hash matches. If a site will not let you set a client seed, or will not reveal the retired server seed, the commitment cannot be checked and the label means little. Our fairness verifier walks through the steps.
Bet controls come next. A usable dice game has a fast manual roll, an auto-bet panel with stop-on-profit and stop-on-loss, and clearly stated minimum and maximum stakes. Maximum profit per bet matters more than maximum stake at long odds, because it quietly caps the multiplier you can actually collect.
Then money. Dice players place a lot of small bets, so deposit minimums and withdrawal speed matter more here than headline promotions. Check the minimum deposit, the withdrawal minimum, who pays the network fee, and whether withdrawals are automatic or held for manual review. Check the identity verification policy too, since a site that pays in minutes until a withdrawal crosses a threshold is a different proposition from one that never asks.
Finally, rakeback and levelling schemes return a slice of your wagering. They reduce the effective edge without removing it. Read the terms first, and check whether the credit arrives as cash or as a bonus balance carrying a wagering requirement.
99% is the best widely documented figure, which is what Stake publishes for its Originals, dice included. That equals a 1% house edge, or an expected cost of one unit per hundred units staked. Anything lower costs you proportionally more per bet, and a site that publishes no figure at all leaves you unable to price the game. Treat the published RTP as the price tag rather than a detail.
It can be, if the site implements the commitment properly and lets you check it. You should be able to see the hashed server seed before you play, set your own client seed, watch the nonce increment, and then reveal the old server seed by rotating it. With those three values you can recompute past rolls yourself and compare the hash. Provably fair describes a verifiable procedure, not a promise, so a site that blocks any step of it has not given you anything to verify.
No. Each roll is independent, and the edge is applied to every bet individually, so no sequence of bets can add up to a positive expectation. Martingale, Fibonacci, D'Alembert and the rest all rearrange variance. They trade a higher chance of a small win for a small chance of a large loss, and the expected cost stays the same. What does reduce the cost slightly is a higher published RTP and any rakeback credited in cash.
Some crypto casinos operate risk-based checks and will let you deposit, play and withdraw without documents until something triggers a review, such as a large withdrawal or a mismatch between your account and your payment route. Our no-KYC list covers the sites that work this way. Read it as a policy rather than a guarantee: the operator keeps the right to ask, and a site that never verifies anyone is also a site with little to hold it to account.
