Spin a 5x5 grid. When a VS symbol lands and would form part of a win once expanded, it becomes a wild DuelReel carrying a multiplier of up to 200x. Outlaw symbols expand into full wild reels and place one to six extra wilds on the grid, each with its own multiplier. Three scatters award Wild Wild West, 10 free spins with a higher chance of large multipliers. Four scatters award Dusk 'til Dawn, 10 free spins including up to four DuelSpins with guaranteed VS symbols.
Duel at Dawn is documented at 96.3% return to player, which is a house edge of 3.7%. 96.3% reported as the default; Hacksaw ships lower builds for operators to select. Hacksaw's own game page for this title did not display the RTP ladder when fetched on 2026-09-17, unlike their pages for Le Bandit, Chaos Crew 2 and Wanted Dead or a Wild. The 96.3% figure comes from review coverage and is recorded with low confidence. Their other titles ship four builds spanning roughly eight percentage points, so the figure at a given casino may be much lower. Check the in-game info panel. That percentage applies to every unit you wager, not to the money you deposit. Play a £100 balance through £2,000 of bets and the edge is charged on the £2,000.
Not published on the provider page fetched. Review coverage describes it as high. Turning the risk up does not make a game more or less generous over time. It widens the distribution: frequent small wins become rare large ones while the average stays where the operator set it.
The house edge is built into the paytable and the reel maths. No stake pattern, spin timing or bonus-buy choice changes it. Treat the budget as the price of the entertainment and set a loss limit before the first spin. The RTP for this title is the least well established in this catalogue. If the info panel at your casino shows a figure below 96%, that is the number that applies, not the one quoted in reviews.
Low. It comes from review sites rather than the provider's own specification, which did not render the RTP ladder when checked. Treat the in-game info panel as the authority.
It is a separate game that reuses the DuelReels mechanic. Wanted Dead or a Wild also contains a bonus round called Duel at Dawn, which is a different thing.
